Nathalie Diserens' work centers on painting, but extends into relief and sculptural works, finding resonance in embroidery and a distinctive form of wood carving. The slow and physically demanding craftsmanship underlying her works is a deliberate conceptual choice. What unites these techniques is their subordination to intuition and the depiction of emotions and inner visions.
Nathalie graduated from the Liceo Artistico Zurich and studied Art Ethnology at the University of Zurich and Vienna, where she earned her MA. Alongside her studio practice, she co-curated the exhibition Paperwork, which took place in 2020 in a factory near Zurich and featured 60 artists from around the world.
Nathalie Diserens is a Swiss artist who lives and works in Zurich, Switzerland.
Her works can be find in different private collections as well as in the collection of Takeda SA.
