Michel Gilgen is a street photographer who has been on the road all around the world with his camera for more than twenty years. His pictures of people and cities, mostly taken at night, are dreamlike compositions and touching documents of our time.

​​Michel Gilgen, born 1969, made an apprentice ship as a photographer as well as a master's degree at the film school at Zurich Hochschule der Künste and worked for television. Now he lives and works as photographer and book designer in Zurich and Berlin.

His works you can find in different private collections as well as in the art collection of the canton Zug.
